Achievement Community Medicine

Departmental Achievements:

Department of Community Medicine together with department of Pharmacology organized 6th annual research conference in the year 2017. The theme of the conference was “Prevention: Positive attitude towards health” Maj. Gen. Dr. Vijay Tilakh give the key notes.
It has well established RHTC & UHTC with 10 adopted villages to provide primary health care and health education to the people in the surrounding areas.
Dr Sanjeev Chincholikar is a Recognised PhD guide by MUHS Nashik.
Various staff was called as resource person for the workshops in other medical colleges.

The department has organized inter collegiate undergraduate Medical College Tuberculosis Quiz on the occasion of Tuberculosis Day.
It has organized IPHS sponsored public health quiz regularly for ten years.
It has regularly organized guest lectures of eminent WHO consultant on varies occasions.
Department has actively involved in distribution of health cards under MIMER Maval Jana aarogya yojana and MIMER jana aarogya yojana for providing Health care at discounted rates.
Department has actively involved in providing regular health services at door step in Nanoli village adopted by the institute.
PG student of the Department was winner of Intercollege quiz for PG at AFMC in 2019.
Departmental faculty are invited of resource person for research methodology workshop organized by MUHS.
Dr. Pramod Giri ,PG student, received COVID worrier award for working during COVID pandemic.
CME on “Lifestyle and Diabetes: Are You Aware? Was organised on 05/02/2021.One credit point was awarde to all mimer staff who participated as delegate.
Department has undertaken several STS ICMR projects for students under the guidance of the faculty. There were 10 ICMR STS Projectsof students approved by ICMR in last 3 years which is highly appreciated.The students were allotted scholarship of Rs 20000 for each project.
Every Intern is assigned a small research project during the internship which helps him in his further studies.
