History

Dr. B. S. alias Bhausaheb Sardesai established Talegaon General Hospital in 1925 with the vision to provide excellent health care at an affordable cost. It was his dream to start a medical college at Talegaon . He along with his team collaborated with MAEER , M.I.T. Pune to establish the medical college. The hospital is renamed after him as Dr. Bhausaheb Sardesai Talegaon Rural Hospital in order to cherish his memories. The hospital is located in the same campus of the college.

It is worth mentioning that the Hospital is visited from time to time by renowned personalities from all walks of life.

The Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi has blessed this hospital in 1945.

The few of honorable personalities who have also visited the institutions such as, Maharshi Dhondo Keshav Karve, Dr. Sushila Nair, Sir. M. Vishwesharaya, Shri Yashwant Rao Chavan, Shri Shankar Rao Chavan, The then Prime Minister Shri Chandra Shekhar, & Union Minister Shri. Sharad Pawar.
