Infrastructure Ophthalmology
- OPD –It has 4 examination rooms equipped with slit lamps. Cornea, Glaucoma, Squint, Retina ,Oculoplasty and Refraction Specialty OPDs are conducted in the department. Dark room for refraction with optometrist is also available. Ophthalmology dept is equipped with Humphrey Perimeter, fundus Camera, OCT with angiography machine, AB scan with pachymeter, YAG laser and Green laser .it also has minor OT equipped with operating microscope as per NMC norms.
- Operation theatre- Septrate ophthalmic OT with 2 Operating microscopes (Carl Zeiss) is available in the Major O T Complex. Out of which one Operating microscopes has assistant port for teaching, XY coupling for vitrectomy and video recording facility . Advanced phacoemulsification for cataract surgery and Cryo machine for cyclocryo is also available.
- Ward- well ventilated and well lit Male & Female Ward with a capacity of 40 Beds is available Spacious ward has beautiful view.Ward has attached clinic room also for bedside teaching.
- Teaching and learning facility-Demo Room for tutorials and clinics for UG student is available in OPD . Seminar room with Wi-Fi facility and LED screen with projector is there to conduct various p g activities.
- Departmental Library-library is well equipped with reference books and books on recent advances .all post graduate and undergraduate teaching material is available as soft copy.
- Journals and E Journals- Indian -01, Foreign – 03 journals are available for Ophthalmology subject in central library and around 21 e journals can be assessed through Delnet and Uptodate available free for all students through college subscription.
