FUTURE PLANS:

  3. Expansion of Clinical Services-
     To adopt rapid (automated) cultural techniques and molecular technologies.
     ii. Get the NABL Accreditation done for other sections of Microbiology laboratory.

Collaborations-

1. Research collaboration with Central Research Laboratory of Dr. D.Y.Patil Medical College, Pimpri, Pune.
2. MoU for interlaboratory comparison of Covid-19 testing with Smt. Kashibai Navale Medical College, Pune.

Special Services

• 1. NABL accredited VRDL for H1N1 and Covid-19. The Department is doing the RTPCR for Covid-19 actively, in the Covid-19 pandemic.
  2. Company tie up for RAT & RTPCR during IInd wave of Covid19.
  3. Bacteriology– Automated Blood and fluid culture by BD BACTEC, FX 40
     • Culture & Sensitivity testing of various Clinical Specimen
     • Microscopical diagnosis
  4. Mycology– Microscopy & Culture for diagnosis
  5. Parasitology– Routine Microscopical diagnosis
  6. Mycobacteriology – Microscopical diagnosis
