  •  Movie club- “Balut” 13/09/2023 – Balut is a short film based on gender equality.
  •  Movie club- “Gifted Hands” 15/09/2023 Under the unique activity conducted by Department of Anatomy the students of Phase 1 were shown the movie “ Gifted Hands”.
  •  Movie club- Shwaas : 20/09/2023
    The movie focuses on significance of doctor patient relationship & importance of ethical communication with the patient.
  •  Cadaveric Oath 27/09/2023
    To achieve the goal of professionalism, ‘Cadaveric Oath’ is a pledge which students recites before anatomy dissection begins, so that medical students can imbibe values like respect, gratitude, compassion, care and dignity towards their first teacher.
  • Bioethics activity – My first day in dissection hall 09/10/2023
    Cadaver is the first teacher of Anatomy. Students are dealing with the cadaver for first time in their life. They are facing the cadaver with mixed emotions like fear, anxiety, excitement.
  • World Anatomy Day 18/10/2023
    World Anatomy day was celebrated on 18th October 2023 by Dept of Anatomy. For the first time batch of 2020-21 and 2022-23 together participated for the celebration. Students of 20-21 batch were divided into 10 groups. Students of 23-24 batch were coupled with them dissection table wise.
  • AETCOM Activity – Movie Aaghat 24/11/2023 The movie club is a unique activity pioneered by Dept. of Anatomy. We use few movies as a portal to convey students few AETCOM attributes. It is an effective way of making them aware of few life skills as well. Movie Aaghat is a Marathi movie which portrays a suitable character of an ideal doctor in society.
  •  Dissection Competition-“Gluteal Region”: 29, 30/11/2023 & 1/12/2023
    Department of Anatomy organized a Dissection competition on topic “Gluteal Region “1st year MBBS the participation was dissection table wise (15 students on each table). The Topic for the competition was Gluteal region. An attempt was made so that the students inculcate team work and collaboration and help them study together in a effective way in dissection hall & during SDL activities.
  • Student’s Seminar: Joints of Extremities 7/12/2023
    The department conducts various programs to explore the hidden talent amongst students and also to provide them the opportunity to present their creativity, analytical skills and innovation. Student’s seminar is one such activity. The department organized seminar on “Joints of Extremities”.
  •  AETCOM Activity:- “My first interaction with family physician” 05/01/2024
    The students were intimated with the notice for AETCOM activity. The topic was already given with notice. All present students were instructed to write an essay on given topic. Students were given freedom for writing the content in the perspective of a patient as well as doctor.
  •  Dissection competition on Orbit & Extra Ocular Muscles 1, 2 & 3/02/2024
    The dissection Competition was Organised for First Year MBBS students. The Students dissected the orbit region. Dissection instructions were shared seven days prior to the date of competition.
    The winner for this event was dissection table no. 1 (roll no 1- 15), while runner up was
    dissection table no. 2 (roll no 16-30).
    Our Principal Dr. Sandhya Kulkarni madam congratulated all the team members for their efforts and addressed them for their study & preparation for examination. All team members of winner and runner team were awarded with the certificates.
  • HNF Quiz 22/02/2024
    The Grand HNF Quiz was organized by Dept. of Anatomy. The top 8 students with highest scores from 1st PCT among the group of advanced learners of this batch were chosen as quiz participants. Total 4 pairs of the students participated in the quiz.
    The winner team was Mental Athletes- Saumya Kashikar, Jeeval Gothi the runner up team was Trivia Titans- Azeem Hudewale, Mahek Shaikh. Winner team were awarded certificates & gifts. All participants were awarded with certificates.
  •  Interdepartmental activity- Cadaveric Tracheostomy Demonstration (Vertical Integration) 01/03/2024 A cadaveric tracheostomy procedure was demonstrated to the students of 1st MBBS Dr. Shashank Vedpathak briefed the students about the activity followed which Dr. Santosh Mane Professor; Department of ENT performed the procedure. The procedure was performed on a cadaver and was projected on the screen so that all students can visualize the ongoing procedure. He also explained the indications, steps and complications of the procedure and the related anatomical basis of it. This activity was conducted after completing HNF region, so that all 1st year students can understand it.
  • Movie club- Yellow 26/3/2024 International Down’s Syndrome Day is celebrated on 21st March every year , to celebrate this day Extra curricular activity – Movie club was conducted on 26th March 2024. The Movie Yellow was shown to the students. Yellow is a true story of Gauri Gadgil, who is paralympic swimming athlete who won gold medal. The story explores a mother daughter relationship involving developmental disability of a child with Down’s syndrome.
  •  Peer Talk for First M.B.B.S. (Batch 2023-24): 16 /5/2024
    The students of phase 1 are near their prelim & university exams and this is the time they need a little of motivation from their peers. The final year MBBS toppers Soumya Lanjewar, Ishan Gokhale, Khushboo Doshi were invited by The Department of Anatomy to guide & have an interactive session with phase 1 students. The toppers shared their experience of how they prepared for exams their study routine, time management tricks, how they coped up with the stress throughout. They also explained the importance of the subjects taught in the very 1st year of MBBS in their whole journey ahead.

The intention to show this movie to students was to make them aware of role of paramedical staff & doctor patient relation. By taking the reflection these points were addressed by students only.

International Down’s Syndrome Day is celebrated on 21st March every year , to celebrate this day Extracurricular activity – Movie club was conducted on 23rd March 2023.
•Poster Competition (Cultural Diversities of Maharashtra) 28/3/2024 9am to 4pm ,
The Cultural diversities of Maharashtra poster competition was Organised by Dept. of Anatomy. They participated enthusiastically and in a competitive way. The students gave their names and were eager to portray the city they belong to. Entries were taken as solo or group of maximum 3 students.
The posters were displayed is auditorium for 2 days. The competition was judged by Dr. Aneesh Bhat and Dr. Smita Watve.Three winners Khushboo Ramteke, Riya Chajed and Shalika Menon were 3rd, 2nd and 1st winners of this competition.
•Grand Extremity Quiz: 28/3/2023
The Grand Extremity Quiz was organized by Dept. of Anatomy.
The winner team was Quiz wizards Shalvi Rokade & Anoushka the runner up team was
Trivia Titans Vaishnavi Dole & Shaunak Deshmukh.
•Movie club- Phir Zindagi 13/4/2023
7th April to 14th April 2023 was celebrated as organ donation week. Theme for this was ‘To aware people of the need for organ donation’. The motive to show students this movie was to introduce them to the concept of organ donation & the sensitive them about the topic.
•Movie – Reflation Writing 13/4/2023
This being very sensitive topic each aspect of the organ donation starting from decision making till few of the technical points were also pointed out by students. The intension of taking the reflection of this movie was to make students share their expectations and reality when it comes to the act. Of Organ donation.
•Inter-Table Quiz- Osteology of Supex 6/5/2023
The inter-table quiz was conducted in the department of anatomy on the topic osteology of Supex. The student’s participation was interactive & enthusiastic. The winning table was Dissection Table no. 1 (Roll no.1-15) Winner table students were awarded with certificates & Chocolates.
•Short Topic seminar for slow performers 11/5/2023
In view of this short topics were distributed amongst these students for presentation. They were instructed to use only chalk and board method of presentation. The students presented in front of all batch and faculty members. This was an interactive session with questions and answer round.
•AETCOM Activity – Movie Aaghat 26/5/2023
The movie club is a unique activity pioneered by Dept. of Anatomy. In this movie the students could get a strong message about communication skill, ethical practice & professional conduct of a doctor.
•Dissection competition on Submandibular Region: 1 & 2 /8/2023
Dissection Competition for 2022-23 batch was conducted on the topic of ‘Submandibular Region’. The judging sheet with 20 structures to be identified was prepared beforehand. The Completion was conducted on 2 days 1st & 2nd August 202. Judging was done from 3-4pm on 2nd August 2023. The dissections were judged by Dr. Shashank and Dr. Vivek. Table no . 2 did the best dissection and also prepared charts and labels for the structures identified. Table no. 4 was the runner up in this completion. The winner students were awarded with certificate at the hands of Dr. Swati Belsare madam.
•Organ Donation Awareness Drive: 3/8/2023
To test the present knowledge of 1st MBBS students regarding organ donation, a questionnaire was designed and was circulated to the students. All students actively participated in this activity and submitted the filed questionnaires.
•Peer Talk 10/8/2023
The students of phase 1 have completed most of their syllabus and teaching of this academic year. They are near their prelim & university exams. This is the time they need a little of pep talk & motivation from their peers. •“Brain buzzer – The Anatomy Crossword Puzzle”11/8/2023
To curette the active minds of 1st MBBS students, a brain teaser activity “Brain Buzzer”- The Anatomy Crossword Puzzle was conducted on the topic “Head, Neck & Face”. The students were given a set of 14 questions arranged in the form of crossword puzzle.
•HNF Quiz 25/8/2023
The Grand Extremity Quiz was organized by Dept. of Anatomy. Dr. Vaishali Dhatt (Prof & Head) & Dr. Aparna Chaudhari (Associate Professor) from dept. of Biochemistry also joined us in this event of knowledge & learning. The winner team was Quiz wizards- Swamini Ghatage & Dhanyesh Gupte, the runner up team was Brain Stormers- Sanskruti Talekar & Harshada Asabe. Winner team were awarded books as Gifts. All participants were awarded with certificates.

• Movie Anumati – Bioethics Activity – 12/03/16:In order to inculcate human values in medical students the Movie Anumati – Regarding Decision to wean off ventilator in patients with vegetative state was shown to students on 12/03/16 from 11-1 pm. All students participated in this activity.

• Research:

Currently research is being done in gross anatomy, microscopic anatomy radiological anatomy. The work is supported by internal grants.
