Anatomy

Anatomy is one of the basic branches in Medical Curriculum concerned with study of human body tissue, its Gross and Microscopic structure, development & functions. It is the branch which builds foundation for all clinical branches but mainly the surgical branches like General Surgery, Obstetrics & Gynaecology, Orthopedics, ENT, and Ophthalmology. The study of Anatomy is divided in Gross Regional Anatomy, Clinical Anatomy, Histology, Embryology, Osteology, Radiology, Living & Surface Anatomy and Genetics. Throughout the first professional year the subject is taught by taking regular Lectures, Histology Practicals, Lecture cum Demonstrations & Cadaveric Dissection in association with yearly subscription of Complete Anatomy 3D by Elsevier . The students of our department not only learn through Lectures & Practicals but also through Interactive Activities like Self Directed Learning, Weekly Histology Quiz, Dissection Competition, Regional Anatomy Quiz, Team Learning Activities, Seminars etc. The experienced and dedicated Faculties of Department of Anatomy are committed to provide updated & excellent knowledge to the students.
