Infrastructure Anatomy

Dissection Hall:

The gross structure of the human body is taught through lectures, cadaveric dissections, and study of bones prosected specimens, tutorials, quizzes, competitions, radiographs, charts and models. We maintain a small student-teacher ratio of 15:1 and ensure that all students receive personal attention.

Histology Lab:

Histology or microscopic anatomy is taught by lectures and practicals. The Histology Laboratory is well equipped with individual microscopes and a set of slides for each student. Colored, labeled photomicrographs are provided to aid the students in interpreting the more difficult slides. Here also we maintain the small student-teacher ratio. Before each practical, the slides are briefed by projecting each slide with the help of a digital projection microscope which is the speciality of our Histology Lab.

    1. LYNX Trinocular projection microscope.
    2. Laminated histology charts.

Library:

There are around 417 books and 2 journals in the Department Library to enable us to keep updated with changes in the subject.

Demo Rooms:

Two demo rooms specially meant for small group teaching.
Each demo room is having laminated clinical anatomy charts.

Anatomy Lecture hall

Audiovisuals & mike.

Other Facilities:

      1. Mortuaries – We have a huge 6 cabinet mortuary for temporary storage cadavers without decomposition. These mortuaries are extremely useful for temporarily keeping hospital death patients and for conducting various cadaveric workshops.
      2. Body embalming machine – used for embalming the donated bodies to be used for cadaveric dissections.
      3. Bone cutting machine – useful for preparing body sections, various specimens as well as while discarding used human tissues.
