Orthopaedics

From a modest beginning in 1997 the Department has progressed to its present prime status. Earlier it mostly dealt with trauma cases from nearby highways and also from interior parts of Maval.
Resent years have seen the addition of super speciality treatment options like Arthroscopy, Joint Replacement, Hand Surgery and Paediatric Orthopaedics.
In 2014 Post Graduate training was started the first two students passed out in 2017. After recognition of post graduate degree the proposal for increase of seats to six was also endorsed by National Medical Commission.
The Department has been at the forefront of research and publication work which has been awarded even at the national level.
