- The Department is doing the RTPCR for Covid 19 actively in the Covid 19 pandemic.
- Microbiology UG distinctions consistently – 47 UG distinctions in last 5 yrs.
- Total 35 Publications in National & International Journals by faculty.
- The services lab has enrolled with IAMM EQAS program since 2015, and constantly scoring more than 95%.
- Successfully organizing CME, Guest Lectures and conducting Infection control practices Trainings regularly.
- Guiding UG students for STS-ICMR projects and elective postings.
- Dr. Sandhya Kulkarni has successfully completed NPTEL course on “Educational Leadership and Team Effectiveness” on Swayam platform.
- Department celebrates ‘International Infection prevention control” and “Antbiotic awareness week” every year by organizing different sensitization programs.
- Dr. Sandhya Kulkarni has received Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Sadbhavana Award for Outstanding Achievements and Remarkable role in the field of Education by International Institute of Education & Management on 24th May 2018 at New Delhi.
- Dr. Sadhana Chate has received Rashtriya Gaurav Award for Meritorious Services, Outstanding Performance and Remarkable Role by India International friendship society at New Delhi on 7th May 2017 at a Seminar on Economic growth and National Integration by the hands of Dr. Bhishma Narayan Singh, Former Governor of Tamil Nadu and Assam.
