Pathology

Discipline of Pathology forms a vital bridge between initial learning phase of pre-clinical science and the final phase of clinical subjects. The goal of teaching Pathology is to provide comprehensive knowledge of the causes & mechanisms of disease,in order to achieve complete understanding of the natural history and clinical manifestations of the disease. To achieve this goal, the department follows a course curriculum laid down by NMC as well as MUHS.

Pathology department is a key department involved in diagnostic services. It plays an important role in patient care by providing accurate and timely diagnostic and prognostic information. Pathology as a branch comprises of different sections like Histopathology, Cytology, Haematology, Clinical pathology and Transfusion Medicine.
