Dr. Deepa Nair
Principal & Professor of Physiology

Dr. Deepa S Nair is an MBBS graduate from Govt. T. D. Medical College, Alappuzha, Kerala and has done her MD (Physiology) from Armed Forces Medical College, Pune. She has further pursued a Post Graduate Diploma in Hospital & Health care Management from Symbiosis Centre of Health Care, Pune.

She has a keen interest in medical education and has been trained in the Advance Course in Medical Education from Seth G. S. Medical College & KEM Hospital. Mumbai. She has served as the MEU Coordinator of the college and has been the faculty for various MET workshops

She has been a recipient of the prestigious R. Srinivasan Prize in ‘APPICON 2006,’ a national level conference and has authored many research publications in various international & national journals and contributed a chapter in a medical textbook. She has mentored students for various research projects including those for the ICMR-STS studentship.

She has been a part of the Department of Physiology, MIMER Medical College since 2007 and served as Head of the Department from Dec. 2017 to July 2025.

She is a passionate teacher, who with her experience in education and leadership is dedicated to academic excellence and innovation. She is deeply committed towards fostering a supportive and inclusive learning environment for all students.
